The Main Street Public House in Philmont, NY is a must stop for one of the best burgers anywhere.

Elizabeth Angello is the owner and she runs the show at the pub.
Always smiling and always hustling!
Her daughter Josephine Proul is the uber talented Chef, up the road at Local 111...................................one of Tim Zagat’s and Al Roker’s favorite places.
The bar has a great feel to it; makes me feel like an old college town bar. There are a ton of tasty draft beers and bottled beers as well.The chicken wings kick ass and were some of the best I have ever tasted. (just the right spice level and perfectly crisp)
The best thing about the burger is that we ordered them Medium Rare and that is actually how they came out. Not to many burger places can pull that off time and time again.
So the next time you head up for the weekend to Columbia County, hit the Pub and Local 111 and tell them Mr.Z sent you......................
