The first time I went into that diner on Warren Street, about 6 years ago, I knew it was a special place. I needed a local landscaper and figured if I sat at the counter long enough and drank enough muddy coffee, eventually I would get some leads. It didn't take long for a flirtatious waitress to give me the name of a guy that kept the lawns green. 1 day later, he was hired.The diner went out of business and I had always had dreams of opening a big family style American restaurant , circa Main Street that served 2 pound meat loaves and all the mashed potatoes you could eat. The restaurant would work for the locals and the Cidiots (that's what the locals call the weekenders).I would call us the people that fuel the economy!

Well, I never pursued Main Street at the Diner, but the owner of Grazin’ Angus Acres in Ghent, NY did. The place is called Grazin’.

The owner of the farm's concept is pretty straight forward- Farm to table food.

All the meats come from Grazins, just 7 miles away and everything else comes from local farms.

The menu is super, duper basic. About 8 variations of burgers, some chili, salads and some hot dogs.

Our burgers were perfectly cooked and my chili was yummy!

Their homemade root beer and homemade birch beer, served with a paper straw hit the spot.

With Elvis playing in the background, what else could you ask for?
